so if you’ve visited the blogroll next on this site, you’ll notice ‘the wedding’. and its not a movie, but some dear friends that are gettin’ all hitched up come may 2008. and i’m in the wedding. no really, i am. problem with that is ‘the dress’. which is incredible. its sage (a good color on me). but its SILK. unforgiving, unyielding silk. shows all my bumps silk. i’ve had 2 kids- i got bumps. and i almost caused the bride to have a STROKE b/c i waited to order my dress….until almost too late. it was on sale (yeaaa- over $110 off) which makes it even more beautiful.so let’s be honest, i was truly skeptical. because i ordered a big ol green one. and according to the hateful little website, i was going to require sausage casing to get into the big dress.
its here, its here. the DHL man brought it a while ago. its been sitting on my washer, staring at me. daring me- ‘hey, bet it won’t fit’. bet you need a shoehorn to get in it. so finally, after being tormented by this little yellow box, i can’t take it anymore. i haul it to the bedroom with toddler boy in its wake.
and it fits
ok, it’s a little long on top, like the straps need to be shortened a bit. but its lovely. truly lovely. and losing some amount of weight normally without liposuction (and a really nice spray tan) will greatly enhance my looks. i feel pretty, socks and all.
my sweet love-it pronounced me ‘pittttty’ (which is his form of pretty, i swear)
i’ll still be the ‘short, thick girl’ in the pics- but i’m so delighted.
and those evil people on the ann taylor website lie about the measurements.
either that or i’m a dumbass with a measuring tape.
i think i’ll have another muffin.

i wish i had waited around tuesday morning so i could have seen it on you. now for the big question … will you actually wear your hair down? if so, you’ll have to show us the pics.
i wouldn’t want to upstage the bride and cause a ruckus now, would i?
